Introducing the Let’s Start Up Team
My team is growing and we’re working on something special! 🚀
When I started my legal tech company back in 2013, the startup space was a little different. I was a solo woman founder in two of the most male-dominated industries (legal and tech). Located in the midwest, I spent my evenings, weekends, and just about any other free moment working on my business and meeting fellow entrepreneurs. I was a first-time founder who was trying to figure things out, scouring the internet for resources and asking tons of questions. Along the way, I did figure things out, but I longed for a community of alike entrepreneurs who supported each other.
Now, with the internet and social media networks like Twitter gaining popularity, it’s easier to find your people online. I’ve met some of my closest startup friends from Twitter and have made invaluable connections with founders and investors. These friends have also inspired me to challenge myself, take risks, and support overlooked entrepreneurs by offering mentorship and angel investing.
Through mentoring and investing, I’ve had the incredible opportunity of sharing my experience to help these scrappy and ambitious entrepreneurs. The questions they ask are everything from “Where do I even begin?” to “How do I write my elevator pitch?”
And all of this got me thinking. There had to be some way to help founders like me, figure it all out. With this idea, Let’s Start Up was born.
An idea starts with a great team to bring it to fruition. I am so excited to welcome four new talented team members to Let’s Start Up. We’re a group of technologists, entrepreneurs, and engineers passionate about helping overlooked founders start up. Each of these four bright minds brings something unique to Let’s Start Up. Dhruv Patel, Executive Assistant

Dhruv Patel is Let’s Start Up’s executive assistant, and is responsible for all things research, data, and behind the scenes tasks. Outside of work, Dhruv enjoys chess and reading. His favorite book is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
Nagela Dales, Content Writer
Brooklyn, New York
Meet Let’s Start Up’s newest content writer, Nagela Dales. Nagela is the founder of SLCo & Agency, and she is passionate about making innovation and consumer experiences more equitable. When she isn’t working on her company or writing content, Nagela enjoys dancing and watercolors. Her favorite dessert is ANY type of cake!
Miles Jones, Social Media Marketer
Houston, Texas
Miles Malik is joining the Let’s Start Up as a Social Media Marketer. He’s working with our marketing team to develop engaging content on all of our social media platforms. Miles is experienced in all areas of marketing, from content to events and brand development. His hobbies include fine art and photography.

Phillip is a Full Stack Developer at Let’s StartUp. He is a skilled web and mobile architect and is working with Let’s Start Up to build something special.
